Hello, I am a beginner. So please dont mind if my question is too boring for you.
I found the term "packet capture" use many times on this site. What does that term mean exactly. I want to know this because I want to make a packet filter where I need to drop some packets. When a packet is captured, is it also prevented from been propogated to the other network interface. Suppose there are 2 network interfaces. A packet is captured from one interface. So will that packet reach the other interface even if it is captured. Or will I have to re-send the packet to the other interface if i need it to be available at the other interface. Can I use wincap(Packet.dll) library for making a packet filter which does not allow some packets to reach the other interface.
