If windump works, the problem is not in winpcap but in the application. In particular, it seems that nmapNT hasn't been updated since a long time, so it doesn't support the latest winpcap releases. The nmapNT developers are probably the best people to contact in this case.

I previously used nmapNT with libPcap 2.02, but after upgrading my W2K system to WinPcap 2.3, nmapNT will no longer work. The same problem is experienced with a new installation on a WinXP system. When I try to run nmapNT, it can't find the packet driver, and comes back with the following error: WINDOWS Interface enumeration: No Suitible Interfaces! I tested WinPcap with WinDump, and it could find all of my NDIS interfaces. I have seen at least one other person on the WinPcap-users mailing list, who experienced the same problem. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Jakov Zaidman
