Hi everyone, I wanted to let all friends and supporters of Claire know that Stan (Kirstin) and I visited her on Thursday and Friday and sadly her condition has progressed and she has been under hospice care for a couple weeks now. Hospice making her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. One of the effects of her condition is that it is very difficult for her to have a conversation by phone and even in person as her voice is very soft and hard to hear. I'm sending this because her 60th birthday is Tuesday Nov 26, and I was hoping any and all of you who know and love her might want to send her birthday wishes and positive thoughts and especially shared memories. Text and email is great, as are actual mailed cards, but the thing she loves and responds to most are little videos that friends have sent. In particular one that Joy sent on Friday where she had her infectiously beautiful laugh and some memories of scenes at Winedale. Claire has this on instant repeat when she needs an infusion of happiness. It need not be much. A short note of love and any shared memories seem to brighten her day. It is so hard seeing her going through this but I thought if a lot of you who love her sent her some personal message or tiny favorite memory she would be so uplifted. Godwin has magically has removed her from this list until Monday night.
