Not sure I could overstate how much the meals at Lauderdale House nourished the entire Winedale experience. They were always more abundant and wonderful than I had a right to expect, and it was obvious that Angeline was doing everything she could to keep surprising us. These were truly gestures of love.
They also gave me a precious opportunity to experience a piece of Texas culture. I grew up in suburban Houston. Geographically it was Texas, but it could have been anywhere else in the US in many respects. Hard to believe that the meals I had the good fortune to experience took place almost 50 years ago. Time’s swift arrow, indeed. Love to all, Carl > On Oct 25, 2018, at 8:05 AM, Alice Gordon <[email protected]> wrote: > > Angelene simply beamed her Angelene-ness. Oh, time’s swift arrow…..
