Hi Bartosz, thanks a lot for testing this for me. I just realized that using your hook (UploadVerifyUpload) instead of UploadVerifyFile works as intended. I added my old code snippet to yours at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/P10258 for the sake of clarity.
