Hi all,
I am not sure this is a strategic concern but when I went on the Wikimedia UK to view the link below, I checked the
Engine Room where I could find no follow up as regards the problems with the watchlist highlighted nearly a year ago.
I would be interested to know what the plans are for the wiki as it might be sensible to shut it down if it is not going to be fixed.
Perhaps we could have some discussion as regards this, and what steps should be made to preserve the documentation posted on the wiki.
all the best,
Leutha aka Fabian

Dear all
During 2019 Wikimedia UK has been working to a draft new strategicframework for 2019 - 2022 which was developed earlier this year throughdiscussions with staff, board and volunteers. Our delivery and reporting inthe current financial year has been based on the new framework, however thestrategy has remained in draft form while we considered the strategicimplications of the recommendations emerging from the global movementstrategy working groups.
Following a board away day in late September 2019 the draft strategy hasbeen further refined, and is shared on wiki here:
Whilst the strategy builds on our achievements and learning from 2016 to2019 and represents a new iteration rather than a complete change ofdirection, there is a greater emphasis on Wikimedia UK’s role as afacilitator and enabler of open knowledge, rather than as an organisationfocused on project delivery. Within this framework, our underpinningdelivery model of partnerships, community and technology becomes even moreimportant, and we welcome feedback on how to strengthen our effectivenessin these three areas, in addition to any other comments on our proposedapproach. Please add your comments and questions to the talk page by Sunday10th November 2019 - or feel to email me directly with your feedback.
This week, we also submitted our proposal to the Wikimedia Foundation forfunding of £335,000 in 2020/21. You can see our proposal here:
