Given the enormous number of articles written, I would have been very suprised if they had all survived - notability can be quite a subjective issue, so there isn't always going to be agreement between article creators and the community. I assume that statistic of 3 articles is for the English Wikipedia? Does anyone know what the survival rate is for other language Wikipedias?
