Dear all, We are Indic MediaWiki Developers, and we are inviting college student clubs and campus leads to co-host MediaWiki Bootcamp 2026.
This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly bootcamp that introduces students to the technology behind Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects. We are especially looking to collaborate with: - Engineering and CS or IT student clubs. - Open source student communities - Faculty/coordinators in technology-related fields Preferably, to partner with institutions where there is no existing Wikimedia technical club, so as to also expand our outreach to new campuses. What students will gain: - A clear understanding of how Wikimedia projects work behind the scenes. - Practical exposure to MediaWiki software and open source contributions. - Guided hands-on sessions in a supportive environment. We will provide the full structure, curriculum, and mentorship support. You bring the interested and curious students. No prior Wikimedia experience is required.
