Dear Wikimedians, As Wikipedia completes 25 years, we are coming together to celebrate this milestone with a community gathering titled “Hyderabad Celebrates Wikipedia 25<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/IIITH-OKI/Events/2025/Wikipedia_25th_Birthday:_Celebrating_Wikimedia_in_Hyderabad>”, to be held on Saturday, 18 January 2026, in the afternoon at IIIT Hyderabad. Hyderabad has played a unique and sustained role in the Wikimedia movement, across languages, projects, technical work, community organizing, research, and partnerships. This event is an opportunity to celebrate that journey, reconnect with fellow Wikimedians in the city, and reflect on where we go from here. We are inviting Wikimedians from all language communities and projects, including Telugu, Urdu, Commons, and others, along with friends from allied open-knowledge, language, literature, and FOSS communities.
