Hello-hello!

I am writing to you as a coordinator of the pilot of the ecosystem of
movement organizations
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Updating_the_ecosystem_of_Wikimedia_organizations>
and I am reaching out to you in relation to some progress made in this
workstream and the Global Resource Distribution Committee
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Global_Resource_Distribution_Committee>.
My hope is to better include South Asian and ESEAP insights and feedback in
the ongoing conversations. As a result, I am proposing a dedicated virtual
workshop for you this Sunday, March 1, from 07:00 to 08:15 UTC. You can add
the event to your calendar using this link
<https://calendar.google.com/calendar/event?action=TEMPLATE&tmeid=MTI1bW9yNmlybjdxNWIzZzk0amVxY2c1dTYga3ZhaWRsYUB3aWtpbWVkaWEub3Jn&tmsrc=kvaidla%40wikimedia.org>
.

During this workshop we will provide short updates regarding the ongoing
work to then split into two breakouts:

1) one focusing on the proposals regarding the future purpose, functions,
and tiered structure of affiliates coming from the ecosystem pilot focus
group,

2) other diving deeper into the proposal of global funding principles from
the Global Resource Distribution Committee.

We will be documenting the conversations to ensure that perspectives from
these regions are well represented to inform the future steps. We will also
keep the documentation open for some time for any asynchronous feedback
from people who will not be able to join the call, but are overall
interested in the topic.

Let me know if you have any questions or clarifications regarding this!
Looking forward to having a good, constructive conversation with many of
you!

Thank you for your very kind attention!
