Sound pretty much like it is for a Brit trying to get a visa for Australia 
these days through their visa agency in Bangkok - and we once used to own the 
place ;)
I’ve stopped visiting my relations there because of the hassle getting in.
I think it’s due to my passport showing stamps for every developing country in 
Asia, and living in Thailand.
