So the issue was logistical, not financial? By way of context, I could probably save the WMF ~GBP500 (~USD 640) by travelling from London Heathrow rather than Birmingham (my local airport), but that would cost me an extra ~50GBP (not to mention the hours) on land travel. I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for that to be reimbursed.
