2024

will be running around the world over a one-month period between 1
September and 31 October 2024.

are currently preparing this year's competition, and we are reaching out
to inquire whether you're planning to organize a local event and to
provide you with some vital information.
== Rapid grant ==
If you're considering organizing a local event, you can apply for a
rapid grant from the Wikimedia Foundation before June 1st, 2024(cycle 6
of rapid grants <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid>)
so you can receive it before the beginning of the contest in September.
If you apply later you will only get the grant money after the contest
