Wow, that is a lot of work! I feel bad about raising the question: How useful is the list of bugs though?
I think more approachable is some prosa that explains the highlights for users and summaries the release. See for example https://launchpad.net/widelands/build18/build18-rc1, full changelog -everything above the bugs.
