i dont think the panel was designed to support customization. the thing
about that project is that it is more an example than part of the framework.
you can patch it and sprinkle the markup with css classes, add overridable
factory methods for controls like buttons, etc. but in the end you will find
it is easier to roll your own using the code in wicket-auth as a
base/example - which is all it is meant to be.
