I have recently used it in a 1.2 project and it worked fine, nearly
everything was configurable from the java side and it was really easy
to use.
There were only some really small issues like these:
- registration for the smiley images could use some preregister
mechanism (but then I didn't look that hard so it is maybe already
there) because images in edited html from the editor are now only
visible if the editor had been invoked
- one was not able to disable single separators or whole toolbars

But apart from these minor issues (which I should really have fixed
and patched) it is a great component I would definitely recommend for
your CMS project.
