Hi, I do ban them, but they're just 'bot accounts, I expect. Currently you need to sign-up to edit, but there's no restriction/criteria on sign-up, so any MediaWiki-aware 'bot can & is able to sign up to edit. Now we're on a non-SF server though, I'll see what other options we might have...
