i'm wondering two things about ICrypt and Crypt

first, is this really a good idea from a security standpoint?

and if we're going to include this, shouldn't there be a default Crypt that doesn't require installing security stuff?

a null Crypt implementation that prints out a warning and returns the string it is passed might be better than junit tests that fail if you're not set up right.
