I have found that if the sensor is not mounted on a GOOD STABLE mount, wind
will cause erroneous rain
amounts. I also have a sensor near a RR track. When trains go by I see what
looks like a small amount of
precip for the duration of the train passage. Had to move it a wee bit
farther away from the RR track. It
was about 100 ft away, moved it another 50 ft and that got rid of most of
it, only when a really loaded
car passes do you see any activity.
