So changing the "record_generation" setting under the [StdArchive] stanza in weewx.conf from "hardware" to "software" gave me the degree resolution I was looking for. But if I understand the paragraph in the documentation talking about this, I just gave up downloading archive records from my Davis Envoy. So let me rephrase my original question. How may I continue using hardware record_generation and also get degree resolution in the archive record? Do Davis archive records lack the degree resolution that exists in their loop packets? I'm still learning the nuances of Davis-land. Since changing from hardware to software record generation, I've lost the "Signal Quality" value that used to appear in the Seasons skin.
