Kinda hard to magically divine what you can't work out specifically, but here's how I do it FWIW
# this assumes your weewx-data is under /home/pi/weewx-data sudo apt install rsyslog sudo cp /home/pi/weewx-data/util/rsyslog.d/weewx.conf /etc/rsyslog.d/weewx.conf sudo systemctl restart rsyslog The result is the logs will be under the directory /var/log/weewx - doesn't get much simpler than that :-) Lastly - if you used a packaged installation of weewx the rsyslog.d config file to copy into place would be /etc/weewx/rsyslog.d/weewx.conf The wiki page is perhaps a bit dated in my opinion. The simple steps above are plenty good enough these days...
