Matthew - agree with adding group dialout. Fortunately the raspi has the default user in that group already which is why serial-connected VP2 worked with no additions required for me (via serial2USB dongle). I think I sent you guys some email mentioning that back in the pre-release testing back and forth a few weeks ago.
