It's not hearing anything. Your hub is either offline or your network isn't getting the broadcast messages to the system you're listening on. Did you perhaps VLAN your network and put the hub on a different VLAN ?
You'll need to crtl-C twice to stop it. The error is normal so it can be ignored.
