Forgot to ask. What exactly do you want this remote setup to do ? Are you going to want to view a weewx-hosted web ? And how cold is the cold cabin ? Reason I'm asking is that a standalone weewx 'should' run very stably if you have good power there. If you spun up a minimal 4 $/month Amazon Lightsail system to rsync to, you could make all your cabin=>internet traffic outbound assuming you have a firewall at the cabin.
