Hi No API support from the HP2551. The GW1000 driver supports a local configuration, server and GW1000/DP1500 on the same network.
In my case I'm running the weewx on at remote server and therefore I need the Interceptor for the Custom Server upload. You can upload from the DP1500/GW1000 or the HP2551 console. I have done that and it's working flawlessly. Now I'm using Olivers FOSHKplugin to upload to different domains.
