This is arguably the most common high-end station, or one of them. The standard approach is to use the logger from davis. suggestions/best practices: Read the directions/docs. Use a 5 minute archive interval, unless you have a good reason otherwise. That's normal, and a good blend of precision and letting data be captured while the computer is down. Make sure the console has batteries, to avoid corruption from power loss. Make sure your computer has an RTC, if it's a type where that is not there by default. Put it on a UPS.
