I am looking at the weewx hardware guide page and most interfaces are
listed as USB, is that how must consoles are connected to raspberry pi for
weewx?

The 1900 does not have access or usb , as I was going to use sdr to get the
signal as suggested in the posts first answer from mwall.

the ws-2902a station has usb, but is not on the hardware list. it is the
same instruments as the 1900 but with wifi and usb i believe.
