It turns out (thanks to WiFiLogger's developer for explaining this) that, 
when being used by weewx, the device's built-in export (to various weather 
site) capabilities have to be disabled so that weewx can effectively 
monopolize it. This is not really a problem, since weewx can export the 
weather data to most, if not all, of the external sites, but it is not the 
default, and the necessary changes are not self-evident. I have suggested 
that he add a couple of paragraphs to his setup instructions to document 
this.
