The simplest is probably
1. stop weewx
2. take a copy of the archive file

3.  delete all records from archive > your restart time ie delete the 
simulator data
4.  drop daily to get rid of any max/min which do not match the archive data
5.  rebuild daily to recreate the max/mins again

6.  start weewx - which will initially read records from your logger from 
the time of the last archive record in the database
