However, I get a 404 error on that link so I can't actually look at the 
code to verify that is still the case (the thread is near 4 years old).

It's worth noting though that the AcuRite driver distributed with weeWX (in 
bin/weewx/drivers/acurite.py) does include code to decode inTemp. Can't say 
it works as I don't use an AcuRite station, though drivers don't usually 
get into the distribution without being fairly thoroughly tested.
