Most likely this is because the "alltime" search list extension does not use the daily summaries.
It was written before the introduction of database bindings, so it dumbly uses the archive table. A more modern version takes advantage of bindings, which automatically direct the query to the daily summaries or the archive table as appropriate. It would not be hard to rewrite. I've created issue #339 <https://github.com/weewx/weewx/issues/339> to track. This is not a hard project.
