To Tom and all other weewx contributors: The upgrade worked great.
*Before:* I was futzing with the Vantage 2 Pro console and my fitpc2i <http://www.fit-pc.com/web/products/fit-pc2/> that runs weewx (running Linux Mint 17) and disconnected the USB cable to the console. Doh, thought it was the keyboard cable. I got everything plugged in again but I seemed to have corrupted LOOP data so remembered that there was a "wee_device" tool now. I downloaded the 3.8 version, ran the build. I then copied my current weewx.conf file to the staging area and was able to do a "wee_device --clear-memory". That solved the problem. Now that things were working again on 2.6, I performed the upgrade to latest. *Upgrade Experience:* My experience was flawless. Just did a "sudo ./setup.py install" and let 'er rip. I monitored the initial backfill of daily summaries and it took almost 13 minutes. Feb 11 20:31:01 FITPC2i weewx[3719]: manager: Starting backfill of daily summaries Feb 11 20:43:58 FITPC2i weewx[3719]: manager: Processed *704892* records to backfill *2451* day summaries in *777.30* seconds Finally, I changed the FTP upload to secure (TLS) in weewx.conf All is well. Thanks for the great software. /dan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
