setSMTPHost() sets the host for WOMailDelivery. There is also a launch argument "-WOSMTPHost hostname" or property WOSMTPHost=hostname
er.javamail.smtpHost is used for ERJavaMail which is a better way of sending emails but sounds like it is not what you are using.
