Unbelievable. A quick google on Ken Foust shows that he's had some
involvement with WebObjects for 5 years or so. He should know that Mike
is NOT part of the problem but is in fact a very big part of the
solution. Just because Apple has deprecated the tools, doesn't mean that
one has to lash out at those people who are kindly sharing ways to do WO
development AND move forward.

I don't use WOLips or Entity Modeler, but I do use Mike's Rule Modeler.
Even that (rarely-mentioned) tool is a great improvement on Apple's own
tool. So thanks again to Mike (and Anjo, and the rest of the Wonder team
too). Please understand that most lurkers have a huge amount of respect
and gratitude for the tools, advice and problem-solving provided by the
active members of the WebObjects community.

I hope that Ken will do the decent thing and offer an apology for his
hasty remarks.

Bernard

What I would love to see is a "simple" download and install package
for WO developers.
The biggest issue with this is that someone has to host the extra 100+
meg installer for a bunch of leeches to download :) But anyone could
technically make a preinstalled bundle.

Leeches?????

Well pal you are obviously part of the problem. Any WO app that hits the
commercial market is a win for you. And to refer to Novices as leeches is
quite distasteful. So you are some high powered developer who has no time
for others trying to bring forth projects. Well sobeit - we leeches will
probably come up with the commercial apps that will succeed. But at least
I have ruled out one person to consider as a partner or a contracted
developer!! But you opinion is appreciated as we leeches try to move
forward.
