To me it seems like it was the placement of the welcome message that caused the problem. In the latest build the welcome message is now in the same line as the other auth links.
Are you sure you are using the most current build? If you were using a previous build you should probably clear your browsing data and refresh. Not sure why you are still having the problem. Is it in both browsers or just google chrome?
