For me this seems like it is mainly a question of how one goes about
expressing individual culture within the context of a multinational,
multicultural community, however, I think it also alludes to some of the
"secret sauce" that helps make Web2py such an awesome product.

As far as personal (or business) signatures go my feelings fall in line with
the "live and let live" folks.

I feel that having a personal ( or business... ) signature that contains
expressions of culture is something that has a long tradition and something
that allows us to better understand one another.

Interestingly enough I also feel that choosing to allow ourselves to
continue to be exposed to different cultures as individuals and as a group
will ultimately help us create much better software.

For those who are into examples, I would suggest that signatures like the
following seem respectful and should be cool:

Bob

"Atheism is absence of belief that any deities exist."

Jill

"Jesus rocks"

Kamal

"Mahakala is the great black one"

Web2py

"Bossie Awards Best Open Source Development Software for 2011, We Rock!"

Where as signature like the ones below could be interpreted as being
disrespectful and should be avoided and are not be allowed:

Bob

Kamal's religion is stupid

Jill

Bob will suffer some horrible fate because of his religious beliefs

Web2py

"Way better than some other popular software"
