I my laptop I can serve a "hello world" in ~4ms and a typical authenticated action in ~20ms. When no DB access I can serve ~1800 pages/second. The bottle neck is almost always the db access.
Shall we race against ASP.net? Does their license agreement allows comparative benchmarks. Some times commercial EULAs do not.
