Are you running on Mac, Windows or Linux? Here's the command I run on Mac: python web2py.py -a "<recycle>" -i 127.0.0.1 -p 8001'
If you are running from command line you don't even use Tk. Are you using one of the binaries or the source code (I prefer source)? Have you tried re-installing?
