alright, now I had to look... so it as a cooking conference app (emphasis on conference) where it does indeed have elements of workflow (as pbreit mentions based on roles and authentication) and is actually interesting when looking at that aspect specifically. (although I don't know that there really any proof of existence of tree-mice! - may be a fabrication of the text's author ;) )
When creating users (not to confuse with "registering users for the cooking conference event") the form lends it self to roles from the get go. Roles will allow and expect management duties (manage users and papers). you can easily follow the the submitted paper trail and see soe workflow elements (submit, read, accept,reject, etc...). Note the first of 3 fields at the bottom; 'action'. below is an example of the flow with the submitted text which is present during the process.
