Hi, FYI there is also a script which can 'read' an existing MySQL DB and create a web2py model file from it. I am not sure where that script is stored at the moment but, if you would like it, please search this group initially. If you still cannot find it, ask again here and I'm sure that I or someone else will be able to eventually post a link to it.
