I'm fascinated by the Google Trends for web2py: http://www.google.com/trends?q=web2py
Russian is the most popular language for web2py mentions, followed closely by Chinese. Beijing seems to be the world capital of web2py mentions, with Shanghai in 4th place. In terms of regions, Taiwan is 1st, with Russia in 2nd place and China in 3rd place. Where are all those users?
