I see on a subsequent walkthru of the wizard that some clarification
may be necessary. It appears that step 6 repeats twice.  The first
time I'm presented with:
Generate Model:
Generate Controller:
Generate Views:
Generate Menu:
Apply Layout:
Erase Database:
Populate Database:


and the submit button

The second time step 6 looks like this:

Step 6: Generate app "sayhello1"
[back]
click to open
design
manage

Info
Almost done. Click on the button above to create your new app. Once
done you will be able to edit it as any normal web2py app.

Click to open gives me an error:
