As suggested earlier, it would really be helpful to do something like this:
http://web2pylogocontest.appspot.com/examples/index?logo=1 so we could see each logo in the context of the full site and "live" with it for a bit. For example, [1] is not a bad logo, but I'm not sure it will fit in as well with the look of the rest of the site.
