please correct me if i am wrong, but ID's on GAE are really UUID's and are not sequential and not guaranteed to be strictly increasing. timestamps are the closest you can get to strictly increasing on GAE, but it is possible for 2 inserts to happen at the same time, so don't count on that 100% either.
