I think the book needs some work. I'm learning web2py. I like it. But I feel there are some "mysteries" that have not been explained in the book. I hope you put a team on the book. Chapter 3 needs to be thoughtfully expanded.
I saw some usage inconsistencies in examples in Chapter 3, regarding IS_NOT_IN_DB, for example.
