Did web2py ever consider joining the Software Freedom Conservancy? (http://conservancy.softwarefreedom.org/)
I made a donation recently to web2py through the website, and then was disappointed to find out my contribution would not be tax deductible. If it was, would be willing to donate more. I'm a fairly regular contributor to the free software movement, so it adds up to amounts that make the tax deduction a real concern. The Software Freedom Conservancy makes it possible for projects like web2py to achieve the benefits of tax deductible status without having to establish themselves as non-profits. Several well know free software projects are already members. Just a thought... jeff elkner
