This might already be known, and I'm honestly not 100% sure I'm reporting it in the right place. If this is wrong please point me to where I should report these issues in the future. I'm not nearly competent enough to find bugs most of the time.
In Applications/Welcome/Models/db.py: # session.connect(request, response, db=MEMDB(Client()) There is a closing ")" missing from this line. Should read # session.connect(request, response, db=MEMDB(Client())) This is the latest release downloaded from the web2py download page.
