i updated from 1.69 to 1.72 and my program now crashes with the
following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/david/Desktop/web2py/gluon/restricted.py", line 184, in

    exec ccode in environment
  File "/home/david/Desktop/web2py/applications/DavidsData/controllers/

    return self.as_dict() == other.as_dict()
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'as_dict'

i found the offending line:
    if studentInfo==None and step>1:

if i change the type from None to a string type it works fine. what
happened? studentInfo either returns database info or None. Does
anybody have a clue what happened?
