Here is a perfect application for web2py, but it leaves me scratching my head with respect to the license for web2py.
I want to use web2py to deliver a webapp that will be used at a sporting event (can't get too specific). The signups for the sporting event will be done online using an application in the "cloud" (gae or a hosted server somewhere). On the day of the event, a special "one click" deliverable containing web2py, a management application, and the sql data for the signups will be created and downloaded to a PC that will be used to run the sporting event locally (without connection to the internet). Clearly the app in the cloud is a typical app and there is no problem using web2py. But the "one click" app will contain an embedded web2py instance as well as the application code and the data. Hopefully the license says this is just like any other app and I don't need to GPL my webapp code. Does anyone see it differently? Oh, and how do I create the Windows "exe" file or Mac app that runs web2py with my default application and initialized database installed? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py-users" group.
