In the absence of any other options, I would vote for A. Kudos to both designers for their very professional looking designs. I mostly vote A because of the aspect ratio and footprint.
That said, I think it's a big missed opportunity if we don't have a logo that references the python logo in some manner. The key capability that draws us all to web2py is python. If web2py were based on Ruby, none of us would be here.
